When you’re looking at starting a new job, regardless of the role, not knowing whether or not the new workplace is right for you can be a major stressor. However, some are able to find a way out of that dilemma by simply ensuring they never have to stay in one workplace for too long. If that sounds like the kind of working life you might enjoy, then here are a few careers that could see you always on the move.

Au pair

If you’re specifically hoping to travel overseas, there are a few ways that you can do it, but working as an au pair is one of the few jobs that allows you to really stay in each location and to feel what it’s like to live there. Au pairs work with children, providing babysitting and schoolwork assistance, primarily, and you typically need to know the language of the country you’re staying in.

Consultant

If you have corporate or business experience, especially in a position that saw you taking on responsibilities and making decisions, then you might be able to use that experience to the benefit of other business owners. Consultants effectively come in and offer advice on what businesses can be doing better. Some work as all-round business consultants, but others offer more specialized advice, be it in branding, organizing workers, launching campaigns, and so on.

Nurse

If you want to make a real difference in the well-being of the people that you work with, and you can handle the pressure of having people’s lives in your hands, nursing can be a highly fulfilling role. If you’re willing and able to travel to different hospitals, clinics, and health centers as and when you are needed, then working as a travel nurse could be the position for you.  It’s also worth noting that travel nurses almost always get paid more.

Insurance Sales

Insurance sales can see you taking full control of your earnings and workload, allowing you to split time between work and travel. If you want to make really big bucks, it’s worth becoming a traveling salesman for a corporate insurance agency. Equally, if you want to be one of the good guys, becoming a life insurance agent for a brand like PHP Agency could see you helping people in their moments of need. Simply check out these PHP Agency reviews to decide whether it would be right for you. Either way, few on-the-go jobs will earn you more, or give you as much flexibility.

Events

Have an eye for a good party? Know how to connect with businesses and meet the needs of some picky people? Then a career in party planning could be the step for you. Event planners typically get their experience from working in the hospitality business, often from hotels or restaurants, and go into business for themselves, so you also get the added benefit of being your own boss.

Photography

If being your own boss is of particular appeal, then freelance photography might be of some interest to you, as well. Photographers can play a key role in events of all kinds, including weddings, sporting events, corporate events, and more. What type of photography you tend to do will determine the type of clients you work with, as well as the type of shots you should focus on training yourself in taking, so be sure to have a market in mind.

There are plenty of examples beyond those mentioned here, of jobs and careers that could see you moving from place to place. Aside from the skills, education, and training necessary, it’s important that you’re able to handle the flexibility of the work, as well.
