I mean… who doesn’t give their kitchen gifts, right? Well… not really, but last month I featured a few favorite kitchen products that I really just can’t live without. Whether you’re making your list or just need a little upgrade, here’s a compilation of my best-loved products in my kitchen that make the perfect gift for you or someone you love.
5 Must-Have Items for your Kitchen
Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast-Iron French or Dutch Oven
This is definitely gift-worthy, especially if you’re gifting someone who loves to make big, one-pot meals and loves the rich taste of a stew, soup, or braised dinner. I use my Le Creuset Dutch Oven all the time–it’s definitely my best pot for cooking. There’s nothing like a quality pot that goes from stove to oven to table to refrigerator. Read more.
Slow Cooker
This is one of those “what?! You have a family, and you don’t have a slow cooker?!?” (aka crockpot) things. They just make sense in the life of a busy family. Give yourself a little extra time in the morning or around lunchtime, toss in a few items, turn it on and… look at that! Dinner is ready when you get home that night! There are so many things that I’ve learned to cook in the slow cooker–from a turkey breast to a whole chicken to a beef stew to even breakfast! I know you aren’t supposed to gift with a cord, but this is definitely an exception.
Vertical Dividers for your Cabinets
Need a bit more organization in your cabinets? This isn’t so gifty as it is something that will make you feel a sense of ahhh… in your daily routine. You really do get more space for storing things, and it makes it easier to find and grab what you need.
Mini Measuring Cup
This seems so… little, so mini. But a mini measuring cup quickly became a necessity, especially after I ruined mine and lived without it for a few months. It is SO much easier to measure out a Tablespoon of anything in a cup than in a spoon. Pop it in the stocking.
Ice Cream Scoop
Another small must-have gift, I can’t believe that families live without these and use regular soup spoons to spoon ice cream into bowls for dessert! I know… a third world problem. But scooping is just easier and prettier with an Ice Cream Scoop.
Keurig K-Cup Home Brewer
Whether you drink your coffee daily or have to make it for the neighbors or playdate entertainment… having a Keurig will make your mornings far happier. (And, for many of us, a bit more awake.)
