Last weekend, the plan was sipping Vodka-Lemonade on the deck. Except when I opened the cabinet, I found an amazing lack of Vodka. (what is up with that?!) But mistakes happen and, often, lead to incredible inventions.
Lemon Raspberry Swirl Recipe (or lack thereof)
(Added 5/2013) This post is always super popular each spring, as warm weather patio parties approach. This year, in particular, I’m getting a lot of questions for the recipe/parts necessary for this drink. This isn’t so much a recipe as an idea. I’ve never measured, just mixed and sipped until I had it “right.”
Summer drinks tips
- coat rim with sugar crystals (pretty colored ones are fun for parties)
- add a lemon wedge as garnish

That looks delicious! I’ll have to buy some of the Simply Lemonade with Raspberry, because of course I already have the Malibu Rum on hand

of course!
Isn’t Simply Lemonade enough to make you want to sing out loud? I drank it when I was pregnant, and although it gave me heartburn something wicked, it was just so tasty! I think this summer I’ll invest in a companion bottle of Mali – thanks for the idea!

it really, truly does. Such a great quencher for the summer. I’m going crazy without it this week. May have to send the Huz to the store.
Love this, want to share it…but it won’t be pinned! Oh well. Guess I’ll have to share it the old fashioned way–in person! LOL

it’s really a mix and sip type of recipe–make it how you like it. (Thanks for the comment… I edited the post to add the lack of clear instructions.)
