Fashion lost a rule-breaking creator this week when Lilly Pulitzer died at 81. If you haven't heard the story, Lilly Pulitzer was living in Palm Beach, working a juice stand (her's was a "grove" family), and, created a brightly colored dress to hide the many juice strains and still look presentable. Of course, everyone loved the dress and her friend from school, Jacqueline Kennedy (the then First Lady) was photographed wearing a Lilly shift on vacation. Last summer, I was searching for the perfect bag. One large enough to carry my ipad, a folder with papers, a thin wallet, my phone, and little else. I no longer need to carry diaper changes and emergency clothing for my kids, and I really try to carry anything extra, so keeping the bag to a minimum was key.
