How to store fresh strawberries

Most of the time, it's hard to keep a pound or two of strawberries from being eaten immediately in our house. But on the occasions where I buy them at the farm stand and want to store them for a few days to eat with a recipe later in the week, not only do I need to hide them from my kids, but I need to store them so that they won't grow moldy. Last year, I prepared my first Thanksgiving and it was a hit (just go with it... I really enjoyed hosting.)
