Winter’s cold has certainly swooped in and taken over. And, despite it’s planned vacation this coming weekend, we’ll be grabbing our warm winter gear often over the next several months. Here, a list of a few must-have winter accessories to bring style into your freeze. Thanks for clicking the images and using the affiliate links to shop today! (For those in California who see drops falling from the sky, I’ve added a few rainy-day accessories you may never have considered purchasing until this week.)
Every accessory you’ll need for the next cold, wintery mix
I adore how soft and comfortable my The North Face Denali Thermal Etip Glove – Women’s (5348)gloves are. And they’re extremely well-paired and responsive to my iPhone which is definitely making my wait at the bus stop more productive.
Scarves have an incredible ability to multitask your wardrobe by wrapping you in a warm layer of style and comfort, whether you’re inside or out. In fact, today I’m sitting in my office with my scarf wrapped around my body because it’s about 10 degrees colder in here than it is in the rest of the house. Look for an easy to wrap scarf in neutral colors, like this ‘Quill Challis’ Feather Print Wool Scarf, currently on sale at 40% off at Nordstrom.
Now that I’m a Mom, I’ll finally admit that, no, it wasn’t comfortable keeping my ears exposed all those years I refused to wear a hat or ear muffs out in the cold. I now love wearing hats of many styles to keep what’s inside moving quickly. This Kate Spade Beanie Hat shelters your head with winter 2016’s slouchy beanie style.
Before I had my own pair of Dakota Slippers, I thought people were overdoing their obsession. Now that I have them, I live in them. Not only am I wearing them now, but, on necessary occasion, I’ve taken them to our local cleaners and rushed the cleaning because I can’t be without them in the winter. The minute I walk in my house in the winter months, they go on, and they don’t come off unless I’m getting into bed or the shower. (I’ll be honest, I’ve even run a few errands into school and Wawa in them.)
While last year’s Best Snow Boots of 2015 post is still incredibly relevant, I’ll share that the most purchased boots through that article were Sorel’s Joan of Arctic II boots. If you live in a wintery area, I recommend you try on last year’s boots today (go ahead. I’ll be here when you get back.) and make sure your boots are secure enough to make it through a cold and snowy 2016. If not, visit my boots post and grab a new pair. Your toesies will thank you.
