My chocolate allergy doesn’t keep my kids away from enjoying chocolate, or me from that delicious warm-chocolate smell that makes us all chime in with Anna and Elsa and dreamily say “chahhhhhk-let.” My kids are thrilled to be tastetesters and reviewers for me of Special K’s newest snack, Special K Brownies, which they’ve been enjoying as the perfectly-portioned (it’s only 80 calories) after school snack which we received as samples for the purpose of this sponsored post.
Made with real cocoa, chocolate or caramel chips (my kids like the Divine Fudge flavor better, but it’s a tight race) and topped with a drizzle of chocolate fudge, I have a strong feeling these will end up on the grocery refill list weekly. (Along with more ice cream, because I’m told the brownies are the perfect topping (or bottoming) with a scoop of ice cream.)
They’re the perfect timely treat, too. We heated the bars in the microwave for just a few seconds to delight in the rich aroma and, they tell me, delicious taste.
The best part isn’t even that I can get them at grocery and mass retail stores or that each brownie is only 80 calories. What I love best is that Special K is making brownies for my kids that taste as good as homemade, so I have one less item on the “please bake it” for us! list.
