The most wanted kids gifts of 2014

It was *hard* to get a wish list going from the kids this year. Little (age 5) wanted nearly everything she saw on TV, while Big (11) and Middle (9) are asking for very little. Until the past 2 days when, suddenly, they’re filling their wishlists… and then some.  Together, we’ve put together a list of the Best Toys, Games, Gift Books and Gifts of 2014 for families like ours: a mix of toys we love and toys we want.

I’m trying a new way to display the lists this year. Below you’ll find slideshows that all link to Amazon (through my affiliate link program). Just hover over the item you’re interested in learning more about, then click on it to purchase.  The slideshows will automatically update as we find more giftworthy toys, games and books.

Gifts for outdoor play

Middle loves riding his bike, so he’ll be so excited about theseMongoose Full Finger Bike Racing Gloves . He could also use a new bike helmet.

Little has bike with training wheels, but I’ve noticed that she wants to keep up with friends and keeps borrowing others’ Razor Jr. Kiddie Kick Scooter.

Great gifts for gaming and electronic kids

We have the xBox, wiiU and several handheld devices. Here are the games the kids keep talking about.

Spore Ultimate Digital Collection — this is at the top of Big’s list. It’s a game for the computer that, apparently, all the kids are playing. He actually made a PowerPoint presentation showing me the benefits of the game.

All three kids are asking for new Nintendo 2DS devices. They say that the 2DS can handle old game cartridges and new.
