Head & Shoulders Fresh Scent Technology + Contest! Chance to Meet Sofia Vergara!

Last week’s Fashion Friday focused on sharing not-real hair, and this week I’m talking about saving dignity with your own hair. All this is pretty ironic from someone who can’t stand the work that goes into hair-care.

Why? Well, my hair takes a while. I have a lot of thick, unruly hair and I care (see what I did there?) too much about how it looks to just let it go most days. I have to use a shampoo and conditioner that works right and allows my hair to be styled, or -rarely- air-dry, right. Then I have to towel dry (but not if it’s going to air-dry!), and then blow-dry at *just* the right amount of dampness with a big round brush and then flat iron and then style and… oooh! Shoot! I forgot to put the goop in! Or I  need to shower, air-dry, put goop in at the right dampness, then air-dry without touching. My hair can’t go without planning. And you know what’s worse than anything? When the weather fools with my hair. When it’s too humid or too dry — heaven for bid I have flakiness and need to use a dry-scalp shampoo. Because then I need to treat it with even more goop to get the oils right. Plus, most of the dry-scalp shampoos stink and it’s so obvious I’m trying to hide it with the dreadful shampoos.

Thankfully, Head & Shoulders Fresh Scent Technology is helping with some of my hair rant. The world’s most recommended shampoo by Dermatologists worked to create several new so that you no longer need to worry about hiding that tell-tail (ha! I’m punny today!) scent. Even with the new scent, I was concerned about styling, especially with my whole regime. So I gave it a few tests and have been using Head & Shoulders for about a week and a half. I didn’t use Moroccan Oils at all during this test, so I can tell that the silkiness isn’t quite the same. But my hair definitely cooperated. While it doesn’t quite have the shine I love, it’s rarely needed to be washed. (which is a huge win as school is about to start back up. Yay!)hs1

Contest alert! Join in and be #PartOfOurFamily

Head & Shoulders is partnering with Sofia Vergara to encourage everyone to try out the new scents that help you to get flake-free hair. For a chance to meet the lovely Sofia (I’m told Head & Shoulders has been a part of the Vergara family for over 20 years “because of the product’s surprising benefits”), follow @HeadShoulders on Twitter and post a picture of your gorgeous, flake-free hair, tagging #PartofOurFamily #sweeps and @HeadShoulders, before September 1, like this (except you also need to include the hashtag #sweeps, which I forgot):

The winner will have the opportunity to meet Sofia at an upcoming Head & Shoulders advertising shoot.

To enter the contest, tweet a picture of your lovely, flake-free ‘do tagging @HeadShoulders #PartofOurFamily #Sweeps and follow @HeadShoulders.
