Book Club Reading List: Winter 2014

Hey super readers! Thanks for stopping by Julieverse, where I share lifestyle tips for enjoying life with a heavy focus on ways to make life more simple as a mom. Be sure to subscribe to Julieverse by emailfollow my blog with Bloglovin or like the Facebook Page so you don’t miss any updates, including my upcoming book reviews of books I’ve read this summer. While you’re here, check out Jamie’s book club list (82 books!).

It started with a list, a huge list, of 82 books my friend’s book club had read. That post, published in March 2013, quickly became my most popular post of all time. But new books come out all the time, and old books that had been looked over are found all the time, so that list of 82 needs to continue to grow.

In 2013, I added to 82 book club books list with supplemental posts:

As summer turned to fall and then winter, I’m finally completing that second summer list, and have pulled together a 2014’s first list of books to read. I’m a far slower reader in the winter, so there aren’t as many books to read this time. Check in as you read them and let me know your thoughts. And, don’t worry, I’m already working on a list for summer.

I’m going to have to add some of these to my Goodreads list so that they may appear on the summer 2014 update. I, too, loved The Husband’s Secret. WOW! The ending!!! Did you also read What Alice Forgot?

Currently finishing State of Wonder. It’s LONG but so well written with details of the Amazon. Yesterday I was reading on the eliptical. Totally lost track of time and found myself tensing my hands, trying to get the characters out of a bad situation (don’t want to spoil.) I think I got a few looks from others working out before I realized I had twisted my facial expression. if you read it, I think you’ll know exactly what I mean.

Yes, i did read What Alice Forgot and loved it! And I read State of Wonder last summer and I really liked it. Funny that people were looking at you at the gym and your “twisted face”! If you haven’t finished it yet, its a great ending…enjoy!
