It all started last week, when I talked about ModCloth for Fashion Friday and shared and pinned this asymmetrical cardigan. I’d actually seen it before, or, at least, a similar one at Nordstrom (where I can no longer find it but tried it on.) I zipped it up and knew, just knew, that I had to have it. But, alas, it wasn’t on the list… I was buying for summer at the time, not fall, and I was so very practical that day.
Anyway, I’m not sure what, exactly, it was that made me know that the asymmetrical cardigan was going to be a must have this fall, but something made me go hmmmm… so I shrugged it off and ran out of the dressing room, thinking “oh, I’ll so buy this in September.”
Back to Fashion Friday, I shared the very similar, very mod sweater from ModCloth and, suddenly it’s everywhere. Everywhere. I think about 15 friends have already told me they’ve ordered it. And then, something very sad happened. Something we all know so well about. It started selling out. In all the colors. In all the sizes. Go ahead. Peak over at ModCloth. Click the link. (What’s that? It’s in stock!!? Grab it, girl! It was out of stock yesterday!)
I’ve now spent a bit of time obsessing over this asymmetrical-zippered-cardi. I’m trying to decide what we like best about it. Is it the asymmetrical zip? The zipper? The cowl? The right fit in all the right places?
You tell me. What’s so perfect about it?
In the meantime, I found zippered and non-zippered and symmetrical and asymmetrical cardis all over the internet. Go ahead. Take your pick.
(Just be warned, there are a spendy few in the lot. Sorry… couldn’t resist sharing the beauty.)
