About Julieverse.com | #VlogMom and elevator pitches

An elevator pitch is something everyone should host in their virtual memory card, ie their brain. Whether you work in social media, real estate, the arts or accounting… an elevator pitch tells the listener who you are, who’s the person behind the pretty face. They call it an elevator pitch because an elevator ride is about 30-60 seconds, and you need to get your best self out and impress the listener before he hops off the elevator.

Do you have an elevator pitch? If not, take a few minutes to craft one. Make it specific, friendly, informative. I’d love to add a little humor, but when you only get 30 seconds to share your everything, well… there isn’t time for laughter.

Or, maybe, there is. Maybe you can show yourself in a 2 second joke that evokes 28 seconds of laughter and you’ll always be remembered.

One of the greatest ways to develop your elevator pitch is to practice in a mirror. Even better? Make a video so you can analyze it. I made a few.
