Vacation in Maine highlights with the Sony Cybershot TX20

Last week I shared favorite pictures as I learned to use my underwater camera, the 2012 model of the Sony Cyber Shot TX20 (Sony Exmor). But I’ve also learned to do so much more with this camera. As soon as I received the camera, I was off to Maine for vacation, the perfect spot to really get to play with a camera and learn to use it right.

Ahhh, the token picture of relaxation. I took many feet pictures to learn the difference between the different settings. There are around 80 more of this shot on my SD-Card.

The kids didn’t give me many chances to play with the settings as they caught fish, so I kept the setting to the “sports” setting to make sure that if there was any motion, the camera wouldn’t miss anything. The camera features 10fps (frames per second). The top right picture is taken from afar.

Playing on the lake is always an adventure and I was able to capture so many moments of excitement and relaxation this summer. The picture in the middle uses one of the more artsy settings, HDR Painting, (that’s my finger in the top left), which is really fun to use to get all of the brightest colors.

Playing with settings like Soft Skin Mode and evening settings, as well as enjoying the low-light sensitivity while toasting marshmallows.

Our last night was our third lobster night. Check out how perfect the color of this lobster was. Like nearly every blogger, I love the gourmet food setting. I also played around, a lot, with the soft skin mode which softens skin in close-ups. Not that Little needed her skin softened, but it works well on adults, too.

One of my favorite features of the new Sony Cyber Shot TX-20 is the Intelligent Sweep Panorama(R). I’d never played with the setting before and loved learning to use it. I’m hoping to find somewhere I can take some of these photos to canvas.

this is what happens when you move (or lose your balance) when taking a panoramic photo.

I was selected to be a part of the Sony VIP Mom Blogger Review (#SonyMoms) program. I was given a Sony Cyber-Shot TX20 for the purpose of this review. I was not otherwise compensated. The thoughts and options shared above are my own and do not reflect those of Sony. This post contains an Amazon affiliate link.
