The other day, a friend asked asked Whitney and me what we use as a bookmarking tool. I repsonded “Pinterest” and they looked at me kind of strange. But I do. I organize my pins into boards that make sense for my needs. I’m visual, so when I’m searching for something that I need, the picture reminders are exactly help. I try to keyword all of my pins (in the comments) so that when I search Pinterest for something I’ve seen before, it’s likely to come right up. When I opened my teacher gifts board, all I had to do was scan through to find our class gift to teachers that I’d pinned a few months ago.

When it came time to brainstorm for end of the year gifts from our class to our teachers, I looked through the pins, found the one I wanted to use, clicked through to the instructions… and…
tada! We presented the teachers with their gift cards and a class book and these pretty flower arrangements! Aren’t they just perfect for a preschool teacher?
It’s also a fabulous beginning of the year gifts (if you want to give them) and an adorable gift for college grads with majors in education as well as student teacher appreciation gifts. Oh! and it’s a great gift for teacher appreciation week!
So, yay! What did you end up gifting your class teacher?

Those are so sweet. Most of our classes do group gifts so we just donate to the group gift.

this was part of our group gift… being the room parent, I got to be creative with our presentation.
I totally agree about Pinterest as your bookmark keeper – absolutely! I saw this same teacher gift idea a few months ago, pinned it and have every intention of making them for my daughter’s first day of school this year! Your version came out beautifully.

Thanks Devon! It’s so simple to make. Yay on your daughter’s first day of school!
I love the idea of giving to teachers! They are the ones who are so patient and helpful especially for the little ones! We gave a Rita’s gc sitting in a Rita’s cup. The cup says the world needs more Rita’s and we put each teachers name over the Rita’s part so it says “the world needs more Mrs. (teachers name)”.

LOVE how you personalized the cup!! Sadly, our local Rita’s hasn’t been very supportive of our school — otherwise that would be a great gift. Love Rita’s otherwise. When I was a teacher, I used to get my secretaries Starbucks gift cards and “wrap” them in Starbucks mugs.
Those are super cute teacher gifts!! I use Pinterest in the same way – for everything from gift ideas to motivation when I don’t feel like cleaning.
