#Phillies opening day and soft pretzel recipe

I have it so hard. I live in Philly. Home of cheesesteaks, soft pretzels and real Italian pizza. (Sorry, y’all. I’ve lived in Texas. They do not make pizza right.) Today being Phillies opening day, we’re wearing red and dining on our hometown favorites.

One of my favorite food memories was my mom baking Philly soft pretzels with us. We had such fun twisting the pretzels into letters and shapes. When I saw this image outside Philly Pretzel Factory 2 weeks ago, I was inspired to try it with the kids. (After, of course, buying a few pretzels for us. I mean, who can resist?!)

Philadelphia Soft Pretzel Recipe

There are a lot of Philadelphia Soft Pretzels on the internet. I searched for a recipe that didn’t require a bread maker or a stand mixer as, sadly, very, very sadly, I have neither. We’re trying the soft pretzel recipe from Cooks.com as it best fits with my kitchen supplies.
