My kids are big snackers and I’m always working hard to make sure that my house is full of healthy snack choices. We snack a lot on granola bars, fresh fruit and yogurt. But the best snacks are the ones we make ourselves, especially when they’re easy and the kids can help. Trina from O’Boy! Organic Blog shared her Fruit and Nut Balls recipe and I can’t wait to make it.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Mixed Dried Fruit ( I used apricots, dates and cranberries)
- 2 cups raw nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pecans, or cashews
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Get Cooking
- Either cut all dried fruit and nuts with a knife or in a food processor. Afterwards make into 1 inch balls and roll in unsweetened coconut flakes or sesame seeds.
- Store in an air-tight container for up to a week.
