In Our Shoes: Mom Chic

Inspired by Katja Presnal’s fabulous shoes that she shared with me yesterday, I called out to bloggers, twitter and facebook followers to share their shoes yesterday for today’s Mom Chic post: In Our Shoes. It’s my kick-off of a new weekly linky Katja and I will be hosting (and it starts soon!) where we’ll ask bloggers to post their shoes every week and link up.

Oh my goodness, ladies! We love our shoes! You would NOT believe all the images sent my way! It’s a long Fashion Friday post today. A collective look at what ladies were standing and stomping in all day, around the world.

So, when I publicly asked for shoe pictures, I had no idea the outcome would be so huge. Last night I downloaded over 60 images. People were tagging me in shoe pictures on facebook and twitter all day and filling my email inbox with even more. I have at least 20 more to download.

It also means that we love our shoes. And that we love to let ourselves tell our stories. For the upcoming In Our Shoes meme, we ask that you post a picture of your shoes. You can let your picture, alone, tell the story or you can write along with the picture. Share what the shoes did that day. What you did. We want to learn about the lives ladies around the world live. And how better can we do it than “being” in your shoes?

There’s more! I couldn’t fit all the shoes in one post and I want to include as many as possible. Since the time I announced that I was collecting shoe pictures, I’ve received so much interest from readers and other bloggers. They want to see other people’s shoes before they go shopping, they want inspiration, they want realistic life… not just models.
